5 out of 5 stars Instructions is the problem   October 1, 2008
T. Duncan (Woodbridge, VA)
The product is wonderful. It is sturdy as promised. The problem is the instructions and assembly. I was naive in thinking that it would come already put together.

The problem came with the assembly. There were 12 steps to the process so it looked "easy enough" but the parts were not labelled so you had to guess by the picture which piece was diagram referring to. There is no way on the diagram or on the parts to tell front from back so after 3 attempts, it was put up properly. Once, the stand was finally constructed, the next issue was adjustment. The only way to adjust and transport the stand is to continuously remove the locking bolt so there is the potential of eventually losing the bolt. There is not a spare but of course, you can always go to your local hardware store and buy replacements.

I am disappointed in the construction part but the end product is great. I still recommend the purchase of this product maybe you just have to be more of a visual person to construct. Blame this one on "operator error."

5 out of 5 stars Easy to assemble   September 30, 2008

This is an easy to assemble keyboard stand, it takes no more than 5 minutes and it is full adjustable to many heights. Also it is strong and so stable.

Thanks

1 out of 5 stars Way too tall!   August 21, 2008

I got this stand with my Casio WK-110. It was easy to assemble. When I got it set up with the keyboard on it, it was WAY TOO TALL! Since I am 5'2", I automatically set the stand on the lowest setting when assembling it. When I pulled up my bench, I felt like a 4 year old at the piano! I even went so far as using an office chair to raise me up. I set the chair to the necessary height, then I couldn't reach the sustain pedal!
So, to the designers of this stand, I only have one thing to say. NOT ALL AMERICANS ARE 6 FEET TALL! I'm not a tall person, but neither am I a dwarf. Before I bought this Casio, I had a wonderful Yamaha keyboard with a stand. When set to its lowest setting, it was perfect for me. Too bad I couldn't use the old stand, but it wasn't wide enough for the Casio.

5 out of 5 stars Decent stand   May 14, 2008

After reading many negative comments about this stand, I was wondering whether I should get this or not. But a used one from craigslist still costs 20 plus GAS, YES, you need to add GAS to your cost these days, not just TAX!!! Amazon's price is only half gallon more and decent return policy, so I still gave it a try. To my surprise, I am lucky to have all the pieces, screws and etc to make it a sturdy keyboard stand for my used WK-1630 in less than 5 min!

I didn't read the instruction as it is not that useful as indicated, but again, just looking at the picture you should know which one goes to where easily. Of course, you need to have all the screws otherwise you are screwed. :-)

Anyway, I am happy with the stand.
