| Customer Reviews: Pretty good deal June 21, 2010 Janne Paaso (KENDALL PARK, NEW JERSEY, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this recorder for my 13-year old daughter, who likes to play recorder and wanted something better than the plastic toy recorders. The sound of this Hohner is clearly better than that of the plastic ones, it's easy to play and pretty good-looking. So, i think it's a pretty good deal at about $20.
Great recorder - worth the price! April 17, 2010 J. Herbold (San Diego, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 13-yrs old daughter wanted a better recorder than the cheap plastic one she had for several years. I decided to go with this wood recorder and have not been disappointed. I also bought her a teach yourself recorder book and she has been playing some beautiful music. This was a great purchase!
Very Nice January 30, 2010 G. DuBois (NY) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this recorder for my nine year old daughter as a Christmas gift. She did not specify a recorder made of wood, but I thought it was a nice step-up without being too pricey. It is beautiful, sounds nice, and she loves to tell her friends that it came from Germany. It is a beautiful instrument to look at and to hear.
Nice recorder, good value. February 22, 2009 Spaceapeman (Lynn, MA) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
This recorder has a nice design, more streamlined than the typical recorder. It plays in tune, and sounds as good as my more expensive plastic recorder. All the notes can be hit, and the smell and taste of the wood add to the experience. It is made in China not Germany but it is handsomely made. Would be excellent for people who want a wood recorder for period reenactments. Well worth the cost, I plan on buying another as a back up.
