Very Good Quality February 11, 2010 D. Rosen (Dallas, TX) We purchased this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas...I know it's a bit much for a 3 year old, but they do not have a middle of the road one....you have one for babies & they you have this. This is really nice, great for the price, too. Love it & recommend it. Shipping was fast. Gracias. xxoox.
Daughter loved it! February 3, 2010 E. Ross (Loganville, GA USA) I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It seems very well made. Nice tones. Perfect for carrying with her to play wherever she wants.
Fun for family December 31, 2009 NicoleM (Baltimore, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I gave this to my toddler as a gift because I wanted it. We both love to play tunes. I'm actually reading music, he's just using the sticks to make some noise. It is better than the toy bells because it has sharps and flats and more notes. The keys are labeled with the note (A, A#/Bb, C...) which is nice, esp for beginners. I think we will use this for years. At first I did not like that the lid does not open all of the way or come off, but I have come to appreciate it as a music holder.
Bright and clear December 10, 2009 C. Kelley 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this set for my nephews as a Christmas present, but I'm tempted to buy one for myself as well. My brother's family has a rule about musical instruments, apparently: If you're going to buy an instrument for a child, make sure it is a quality instrument. A child playing a cheap instrument badly is much worse to listen to than a child playing a nice instrument badly. This glockenspiel is a good instrument. The bells are bright, clear, and in tune. The kit comes with 2 sets of mallets. One is for soft playing, while the other set produced strong and loud sounds. My only complaint is the hideous color of the case---it seems to have crept out of the depths of 1973. However, it's the sound quality that really counts, and this glockenspiel sounds quite nice.
Great bells - musical and sturdy January 26, 2009 MPW (Rye, NY United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great bells. Sound great. They're actually in tune! And great for my 3 year old to bang on.
