These squares are dried to an exact moisture level in our own kilns under closely monitored conditions which prevents stress, cracks and warpage.The squares are doweled and then âgroundâ into drumsticks on centerless grinders â an approach which maintains the greatest consistency at the highest levels of dimensional tolerance.After finishing and labeling, the sticks are rolled again for straightness, hand sorted for color consistency and then sent through a proprietary computer pairing system. This exclusive process measures the weight, pitch and density of each stick and compares these variables to the characteristics of hundreds of other sticks. Pairs are then matched to the closest possible tolerances, resulting in two drumsticks that are perfectly matched for optimum balance, sound and feel. No other stick manufacturer in the world offers this value-added service.

The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory ? a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable.The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. The nylon tips are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to their original wood tip models. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals.

Yes, I'm a hack.
Yes, Rock Band is the first (and only) drums I've ever played.
However, with the breaking of the original RB sticks I was looking for a new set. Very very pleased with the weight of these (slightly heavier) and response of them. I think my playing improved a bit using these, I seem to have more control and precision. They just "feel" better. Got these in October 2009, and 5 months later, they are still in great shape.
Great value, great sticks. I'd highly recommend them for any of us wannabees. :)

I saw these sticks with nylon tips and then was gonna buy them later. So later on while in a hurry, I saw these in my search results and even double checked for the right sticks by seeing the description "Nylon tips are shaped for the same feel as wood tips", so I quickly bought them. Overall: quick shipping, and pretty good sticks, but not what I wanted.

these are amazing drum sticks, thinking I'm gonna switch to them now cause they are a little lighter and maybe bigger than the ones that i was using!

I used to think that a drum stick was just a drum stick until I played Vic Firths. I had been so used to using no name brand sticks, and once I picked up a pair of these, I could feel the difference immediately. You pick them up, and before even playing with them, you can tell how much precision goes into these sticks. Not only is the weight of each stick completely equal, the stick itself is so perfectly balanced that it makes playing so much more fun and enjoyable. I recommend these to anyone who plays any type of drum, in any style.
