The Korg nanoSERIES
The Korg nanoSERIES provide a keyboard controller, a pad controller, and a studio controller with dedicated transport controls. Each of these USB-powered, slim-line controllers is designed to make the most of your valuable studio space, and is small enough to take with you on any musical journey. Place one of our keyboard controllers in front of your laptop, rest a pad controller on your music workstation, park a studio controller on your recording console--or anywhere else you need versatile control over your DAW, virtual instrument, effect or DJ software. Although small in size, all three nanoSERIES controllers go HUGE when it comes to functionality, yet their intuitive layouts provide extremely easy operation for any user.

4 out of 5 stars It does what it should do   July 9, 2010
Mike Pillittere
I bought this in order to add some programmable input pads for my DAW software and it works exactly as advertised. Easy setup; just plug it in and it works. Can't say much more than that. It does exactly what it is designed to do. I got the black one, so it matches my computer setup.

Wow, it is what I can only say... At first I was not expecting this quality of product... Now I use it as for play music or just as midi button in my studio... The shipping was very fast indeed. I suggest KORG for any pianist who like to discover the midi and synth hardware and product. Soon video of that product in work will be available at [...]

Item Included:
Korg NanoPad,
Ableton coupon code,
Ez Drummer serial key,

It is Very Lightweight
The NanoPad is pretty Good But my dislike about it is that
the button are to hard "they are suppose to go depper and softer".
And The Roll Button is Cool but Should be Better Than that, you can't really control it.
Easy to Use. And it is compatible With Mac and PC.. Awsome

I Give this Product a 4 out of 5

3 out of 5 stars I like it, but it is not triggering all notes for chords   June 12, 2010
N. Trought (Ft. Drum, NY)
I like the nanoPAD, but I can only give it 3 stars because it is not triggering all notes of chords that I program in. I bought the nanoPAD for two reasons. One, to trigger drum kits, as I prefer using pads instead of a keyboard. The second reason is the disappointment, to program and trigger chords. It is random with the chords. Sometimes all notes in a chord will trigger, and sometimes they won't. For example, if I program a pad to have a 4 note chord, only 2 out of the 4 notes will play when triggered.

If you only use this to trigger single notes, I would say go ahead and purchase it. I have not had any problems with single notes. But, if you are like me, and wanted to trigger more than one note from a single pad, you may want to look elsewhere. I am trying to look for an alternative to this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

5 out of 5 stars Most fun ever   April 22, 2010
Dinah Lf Chao (Kauai, HI)
oh my. so much fun. i have never used anything MIDI before so I was a bit skeptical about the learning curve of getting this thing to work and truthfully it did take a few days to really get it all going the way I wanted it. I wanted to use this unit to record drums, previously I had used a keyboard that had drum sounds but it went down.

So the first thing was to get the computer to recognize the thing, not too bad after downloading all the software and drives from the Korg website. Next i needed some drum sounds and software that would play the sounds. the nano comes with some Toontrack lite program that is lame. no toms, no ride...etc. so i downloaded the free version of FL studio (fruity loops) and then go to channels>add one>FPC and bang it loads up a drum set! sweet. from there you can change to the Tama or a Gretch and add a little verb and it sounds real good. now I play drums all the time. while sitting watching TV, while working with headphones on, or while recording actual songs!

The most fun toy I have gotten in years!

****UPDATE***** well after three months the pads started sticking. really when it was just one pad it was ok but after a few started saying in the "on" position the unit becomes a paperweight. i looked around the internet for a fix and found that this was a common problem, but couldn't find an easy fix.
