Just purchased and am somewhat impressed.
yes , it is fun to play with a group.
yes, it will build your chops.
but, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING THIS ALL ALONG!
They're called RUDIMENTS!
And you should have been practicing your rudiments with an emphasis on your weak side.
I will use this with my students, because it will be fun and it the rudiments are played in a very logical order.
Great for groups, great for students.
Tommy does give a very good explanation of the fulcrum and stroke which may clear up some things for you and your students

I recommend all drummers to add this DVD to their collection. The exercises that are demonstrated are very useful for serious drummers. This DVD will make you want to grab your practice pad and get to work.
