The massive ferrite motor includes dual shorting rings to keep inductance low for minimal intermodulation and harmonic distortion to a minimum. Extensive venting through the frame, pole piece, and magnetic gap keep the reinforced 4" voice coil cool to allow peaks of up to 2,000 watts with low power compression. Holding everything together is a solid cast aluminum frame that can easily withstand the use and abuse of the pro sound environment.
