The JBL Control 24Ct Micro is a compact in-ceiling speaker, providing full, high-quality sound for background music and music-plus-paging systems. These speakers are ideally suited for a wide variety of applications, from restaurants and specialty retail stores to professional offices and airports. With low distortion and a smooth, natural frequency response, the Control 24Ct Micro is ideal for medium volume business music systems as well as for the medium to low SPL segments of larger or louder systems.

Easy Installation

Installation of the Control 24Ct Micro is quick and easy. The loudspeaker is packaged with the backcan, grill, support backing bracket, and tile rails. In addition, optional new-construction brackets are available. The entire installation can be accomplished without requiring access above the ceiling. A template is provided for marking the cutout. An innovative C-shaped support backing plate can be installed from below through the cutout to reinforce the top of the ceiling material.

Innovative Design

The Control 24Ct Micro backcan is made of formed steel and the speaker is suitable for use in air handling spaces per UL2043. An attachment loop is provided on the backcan for cabling. A seismic tab is provided as a secondary support. The Control 24Ct Micro trim and baffle are paintable to match any decor.

Constant Voltage (70-Volt) Audio Systems

The Control 24Ct Micro is designed for use in constant voltage audio systems, commonly used in department stores, warehouses, restaurants, etc. These systems require that many loudspeakers be driven from a single audio amplifier over long runs of speaker wire. The 70-volt or 25-volt loudspeaker systems can be complex to understand at first, but provides many advantages.

The Control 24Ct Micro has a frequency response of 85 Hz to 20 kHz (-10 dB), power handling of 30 watts continuous program power (15 watts pink noise), and sensitivity of 86 dB (1W/1m). It also features 70V/100V taps: 8W, 4W, 2W, 1W (and 0.5W for 70V only). The dimensions are 4.2" H x 7.7" Dia., with a weight of 4.4 lbs.
