Description

The Dominus advanced magnet pack allows you to tune the 14-inch/8-note Dominus Idiopan down to hundreds of additional scales. The lowest pitches achievable are B2 Eb3 F3 G3 A3 C4 C#4 F4 G4 A4 (click on the "Owner's Guide" below for details). The pack includes 14 magnets: 1 Standard (yellow), 5 large (blue) and 8 extra large (black). The Dominus comes standard with 5 medium (green) and 5 large (blue) magnets.

Tune with a simple push and a pull of the magnets up and down the tongues. Add or remove magnets or change magnet sizes on the tongue to further adjust the pitch. When the desired tuning requires the use of two or more extra-large (black) magnets on one tongue, be sure to keep the magnets side by side for best results instead of stacking the extra-large (black) magnets on top of each other. When the tuning requires the use of two magnets on one tongue, keep the largest magnet attached to the tongue and stack the smaller magnets on the larger one.

For best results, keep the magnets along the center-line of the tongues when tuning. Here is a scale database website that will provide additional scales that the Dominus can be tuned to with the advanced magnet pack: Important Magnet and Choking Hazard Safety Warning!
Read the following warning before you buy and use the magnets.

The buyer must agree with the terms before purchase.

Neodymium magnets are very strong. Handling them with care is necessary to prevent personal injuries, property damages and magnet damages.

Neodymium magnets are brittle; they can be broken or can splinter in a collision. One should wear gloves and protective glasses when handling these magnets, because splinters and/or spacers could disengage and fly from the magnets.

Normal Neodymium magnets will lose their magnetic properties if heated above 175-degrees F (80-degrees C).

The strong magnetic fields of neodymium magnets can damage items such as television, computer monitors, credit cards, bank cards, computers, diskettes and other data carriers, video tapes, mechanical watches, hearing aids, loud speakers and VCRs. Pace-makers may be damaged or switch to "Test Mode" in the presence of a strong magnetic force, if a pace-maker or other electrical body implant is in use, keep a minimum of 3 feet distance.

Children should not be allowed to handle neodymium magnets as they can be dangerous. Small magnets pose a choking hazard and should never be swallowed or inserted into any part of the body.

Under no circumstances should you try to cut, saw or drill the Neodymium magnets! Not only would the magnet break, but the resulting dust from the magnet is very flammable. Neodymium magnets should never be burned, as burning them will create toxic fumes.

What is BLEMISHED?
Product codes ending in "-1(S)" or "-2(S)" are blemished. These products are new and unused with superficial blemishes that may include, blisters in the finish, scratches, dents, stains, discoloration, rust or pitting on metals, imperfect glazes, non-structural repairs such as putty in nail holes, or other surface marks.
"-1(S)" product has minor blemishes and "-2(S)" product has moderate blemishes and/or minor repairs. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument.

Product codes ending in "-3(S)" and "-4(S)" are also new and unused, but came to manufacturer needing repairs. If it's a "-3(S)," the product has been repaired, but if it's a "-4(S)," it will still require significant repairs when received by the customer.

Product codes ending in "PROP" are unable to be played and are for display purposes only.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STRINGS:
There is no warranty on strings. Manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey before it ever begins the final leg to your home. During this time the elements affect the strings and may shorten their lifespan. It occasionally happens that a string will fail during that final leg of the journey. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings soon after it arrives. If you are a student you may want to change your strings every 3-4 months. If you are a rock star you may need to change your strings every week. If you store your instrument, you should consider changing the strings when you pick it up again.

Please note:
For safety during shipping, the manufacturer don't tune the instruments before sending them to customers. Return policy A 15% handling charge is levied against all authorized returns except those due to our error. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 35% handling charge.
