Experience the Unique Sound of the Dobani Devil Chasers

Are you looking for a unique percussion instrument that adds a new dimension to your music? Look no further than the Dobani Devil Chasers 20-Inch & 24-Inch Pair of Split Bamboo Percussion Sticks. These traditional Philippine instruments are designed to produce a buzzing sound that's unlike anything you've ever heard before.

How Do They Work?

Each stick has a tuning hole and a crack that runs most of the way down the instrument. This crack is what produces the buzzing sound when the stick is bounced off the palm or knee. You can adjust the amount of buzz by sliding the colored string up or down the length of the crack, and even change the pitch of the stick. Plus, the small hole near the bottom of the stick can be covered and uncovered with your thumb to produce a wah-wah effect.

Tradition Meets Innovation

The Dobani Devil Chasers have a rich history in the Philippines, where they were traditionally used in ensembles for the Kayabang dance and by villagers to scare away animals and spirits. Today, these sticks are used by musicians all over the world to add a unique touch to their music. Whether you're a seasoned percussionist or just starting out, the Dobani Devil Chasers are a great addition to your instrument collection.

What Makes Them Special?

What sets the Dobani Devil Chasers apart from other percussion sticks is the natural crack that develops in the bamboo over time. This crack adds to the buzzing sound, making each stick truly unique. And because they're made from natural bamboo, no two sticks are exactly alike - so you'll get a one-of-a-kind sound every time you play.

"-1(S)" product has minor blemishes and "-2(S)" product has moderate blemishes and/or minor repairs. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument.

Product codes ending in "-3(S)" and "-4(S)" are also new and unused, but came to manufacturer needing repairs. If it's a "-3(S)," the product has been repaired, but if it's a "-4(S)," it will still require significant repairs when received by the customer.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STRINGS:
There is no warranty on strings. Manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey before it ever begins the final leg to your home. During this time the elements affect the strings and may shorten their lifespan. It occasionally happens that a string will fail during that final leg of the journey. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings soon after it arrives. If you are a student you may want to change your strings every 3-4 months. If you are a rock star you may need to change your strings every week. If you store your instrument, you should consider changing the strings when you pick it up again.

Please note:
For safety during shipping, the manufacturer don't tune the instruments before sending them to customers. Return policy A 15% handling charge is levied against all authorized returns except those due to our error. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 35% handling charge.
