Experience the Rich Sound of Medieval Music

Take a journey back in time with the Roosebeck Straight Cromorne Medieval Pipe 28-Inch, an authentic recreation of a medieval wind instrument. This exceptional pipe is handcrafted from solid sheesham wood and features a straight bore and open end bell, producing a warm, rich sound that's perfect for Renaissance and medieval music enthusiasts.

Authentic Construction and Design

The Roosebeck Straight Cromorne Medieval Pipe is carefully crafted to replicate the look and feel of its medieval predecessor. The solid sheesham pipe is carved in three sections, with brass trim and a brass key adding a touch of elegance to the instrument. The reed mounts on the inside the pipe, making it easy to use and maintain.

Easy to Play, Perfect for Beginners

The Roosebeck Straight Cromorne Medieval Pipe is an alto in key of 'F', with the same fingering as the recorder, making it easy to learn and play for beginners. The pipe is also suitable for experienced musicians looking to add a new instrument to their collection.

A True Authentic Instrument

Unlike modern versions of wind instruments, the Roosebeck Straight Cromorne Medieval Pipe is designed to accurately recreate the sound and look of its medieval counterpart. With its unique straight bore and open end bell, this pipe produces a softer sound than the rauschpfeife, but louder than the cornamuse, making it a true authentic instrument for medieval music enthusiasts.

Perfect for Renaissance Faires, Medieval Events, and More

Whether you're a musician, historical reenactor, or simply a lover of medieval music, the Roosebeck Straight Cromorne Medieval Pipe 28-Inch is the perfect instrument for you. Its authentic design and rich sound make it an ideal choice for Renaissance faires, medieval events, and even historical performances.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STRINGS:
There is no warranty on strings. Manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey before it ever begins the final leg to your home. During this time the elements affect the strings and may shorten their lifespan. It occasionally happens that a string will fail during that final leg of the journey. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings soon after it arrives. If you are a student you may want to change your strings every 3-4 months. If you are a rock star you may need to change your strings every week. If you store your instrument, you should consider changing the strings when you pick it up again.

Please note:
For safety during shipping, the manufacturer don't tune the instruments before sending them to customers. Return policy A 15% handling charge is levied against all authorized returns except those due to our error. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 35% handling charge.
