Description

The Baroq-uleles (TM) by Roosebeck, are one of the most option-rich lines of instruments we carry. Their design is based on the round-back guitar found in Germany. This Tenor-sized instrument is based upon a 430 mm (17 inches) scale. It features a European spruce soundboard with a rosette design based on a lute by Magno Stegher of 1607. The back is a round-back or bowl shape made of alternating staves of sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo) and lacewood (Platanus orientalus). The neck is solid sheesham and features a nut width of 37mm (1 1/2 inch) with a cattle-bone nut. This instrument is outfitted with standard friction ukulele tuners. The tension on each friction tuner can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the screw on the top of the tuner. The bridge, also made of sheesham , incorporates a genuine cattle-bone saddle. An end-pin strap button is standard. Overall size: 26.75 x 9 x 4.75 inches.

The Baroq-uleles come in 4 sizes including Soprano, Concert, Tenor and Baritone. Each size is graced with its own unique rosette design, each of which is taken from museum examples from the 16th and 17th centuries.

In addition to the four sizes, the Baroque-ulele is also available with 3 types of woods for the back: sheesham , lacewood (chenar) or variegated with alternating staves of sheesham and lacewood. Finally, ensuring that you will find an instrument that best fits your needs, these instruments are also available with two types of tuning keys: Standard ukulele friction tuners. All Models are sold separately. Gig Bag included.

What is BLEMISHED?
Product codes ending in "-1(S)" or "-2(S)" are blemished. These products are new and unused with superficial blemishes that may include, blisters in the finish, scratches, dents, stains, discoloration, rust or pitting on metals, imperfect glazes, non-structural repairs such as putty in nail holes, or other surface marks.
"-1(S)" product has minor blemishes and "-2(S)" product has moderate blemishes and/or minor repairs. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument.

Product codes ending in "-3(S)" and "-4(S)" are also new and unused, but came to manufacturer needing repairs. If it's a "-3(S)," the product has been repaired, but if it's a "-4(S)," it will still require significant repairs when received by the customer.

Product codes ending in "PROP" are unable to be played and are for display purposes only.

SPECIAL NOTE ON STRINGS:
There is no warranty on strings. Manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey before it ever begins the final leg to your home. During this time the elements affect the strings and may shorten their lifespan. It occasionally happens that a string will fail during that final leg of the journey. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings soon after it arrives. If you are a student you may want to change your strings every 3-4 months. If you are a rock star you may need to change your strings every week. If you store your instrument, you should consider changing the strings when you pick it up again.

Please note:
For safety during shipping, the manufacturer don't tune the instruments before sending them to customers. Return policy A 15% handling charge is levied against all authorized returns except those due to our error. Unauthorized returns are subject to a 35% handling charge.
