Well-rounded Alnico V Bridge Humbucker with F-spacing

"What if you made your Custom Custom humbucker with F-spacing and Alnico V magnets?" It's requests like these that prompted Seymour Duncan's custom shop to get to work on the originally named Custom Custom Custom — today known as the TB-14 Custom 5 Trembucker. This true all–'round bridge pickup covers the gamut of musical settings you're likely to encounter, from the Sunset Strip to Carnegie Hall. It's nice and balanced across the spectrum, with pronounced bass and treble registers and a scooped midrange that supports punchy rhythms to greasy leads. And though it sports a healthy humbucker output — around 14.8kΩ DCR — the TB-14 Custom 5 Trembucker cleans up with a touch of the volume knob, giving you true cleans that roar to life with a roll of the pinky. The TB-4's F-spaced pole pieces make it ideal for trem-equipped guitars or instruments with wide-spaced hardtails. Choosy about tone? So are we at Sweetwater. That's why we stand behind Seymour Duncan's TB-14 Custom 5 Trembucker pickup.

Trembucker F-spacing

The Custom 5 Trembucker is spaced for tremolo-equipped electric guitars and those with wide-spaced hardtails — 2" or wider from the center of the Low E to the center of the High E, measured directly over the bridge pickup.

Pairs great with a Jazz or '59 neck

Because of its aggressive nature, the TB-14 Custom 5 Trembucker is often paired with a neck pickup like the SH-2n Jazz or SH-1n '59. This tends to yield the best of all worlds, heat and punch, warmth and aggression. In fact, pairing the TB-14 with the Jazz neck humbucker is Seymour Duncan's personal favorite pickup complement.

From one of the most trusted names in pickup design

Quite simply, it all boils down to tone. Seymour Duncan has spent the majority of his life refining the art of creating pickups. He is dedicated to getting the best tone possible from his pickups, from modern metal monsters to faithful reproductions of gems from the '50s and '60s. At Sweetwater, we know that tone is important to you, which is why we choose to carry Seymour Duncan pickups. You're certain to find the sound you've been looking for.
